Audiological Evaluation Services
The WSD staff audiologist provides consultation and evaluation services, including: audiologic testing, hearing aid and cochlear implant support services, FM system consultation, classroom acoustics consultation, auditory training and aural habilitation, and consultation on the meaning of audiometric data and the educational impact of a student’s hearing loss. Whenever possible, interviews are conducted with parents and school personnel to gather case history and obtain vital perspectives. Outreach services are followed by written reports, provided to the family and school personnel.
